Sentient

Sentient is one of those games that can be nearly impossible for me to get other people to play. A mathematics-fueled strategy game with strong aesthetics, Sentient looks a good deal more complex than it is, prompting many players to quit before they begin. Like many strategy games, Sentient is simple in terms of rules, and more complex in terms of strategy (though not by a lot).

Build the greatest bot factory in Sentient, a game that combines all the fun of worker placement and math. Sentient is an attractively designed, deceptively challenging game in which players compete to gain victory points -- all based on math. Players position different victory point cards in their factory while trying to match the cards up to their dice... and the cards themselves change the dice at the same time. Players need to be able to both fulfill the goals on those cards while also balancing their dice.
